Eight out of the twenty-seven large-format paintings of 'Azul (Blue)' collection by painter Patricia Bonet were exhibited.

Hall

The Rafael Calduch Exhibition Hall was inaugurated on the 19th of July, 2008. The Villar del Arzobispo town hall wholly restored this ancient prison, turning it into a space for contemporary artists. The new exhibition hall is named after the plastic arts creator, who was born in the town, in recognition of his pedagogical and professional task.

Commissioner Rafel Calduch is Head Professor and Ph.D. Professor of Fine Art at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain. He teaches in the San Carlos Faculty of Fine Art since 1979: firstly, occuping an Academic Chair of Nature Drawing and, since 1981, as main coordinator of the subject Workshop on Graphic Procedures of Expression at the Drawing Department.

He has reasearched and given seminars and courses in schools of artistic studies worldwide: the support as an expressive medium, graphical procedures on paper in all their different configurations, and some technological procedures as Electrography and Fax art, just to mention a few of them.

In the 1970s he belonged to Grupo Ara, Grupo Bulto and was one of the artists of the group “Els altres 75 anys de Pintura Valenciana” (meaning “the other 75 years of Valencian Painting”). He has been a member of several examining boards and he has made more than a hundred individual and collective exhibitions in Germany, Belgium, Chile, Cuba, Spain, the United States, France, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Nicaragua, Portugal, the Dominican Republic and Switzerland. His works are part of the contemporary art collections in many museums in Europe, Asia and America.
